The Oregon Trail is very important to the United States it didn't just help people it helped the United States. So I'm going to tell you about the Oregon Trail.
First I'm going to tell you about the people. Really all they ate was eggs and bacon. The immigrants were the first people on the Oregon Trail. The people went on the trail for a new life. It changed everyone.
Now for the traveling, a lot of people settled next to rivers so they could catch a lot of fish and helped their journey. But before they could do that, they had to travel 2000 miles in a little small covered wagon. Plus, you could only travel 6 hours a day without the wheel breaking.
To survive you had to bring clothes and water. You had to bring piles of dirt so you could grow stuff on the way. If you were sick they had nothing to cure so they left you and moved on because they didn't want to waste time.
