MONROE - In the only contested election for the Green County Board of Supervisors, incumbent Steve Stettler defeated Decatur Town Board Supervisor Robert Gadow.
Stettler, who has served on the county board for 14 years, received 182 votes, about 53 percent. Gadow received 156 votes, about 46 percent; there were two write-in votes.
Stettler was not available after the results were posted Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Gadow said he congratulated Stettler on his victory.
Lafayette County Board
Incumbent board Chairman Jack Sauer defeated challenger Ray Elgin, 164 to 140, in District 3.
In District 7, challenger Bob Boyle defeated incumbent Bob Helm 187 to 55.
In District 8, challenger Ron Niemann defeated incumbent Jed Gant 134 to 116.
In District 12, incumbent Gerald Heimann defeated write-in candidate Dan Morrissey 157 to 77.
