MONROE - The Monroe Public Library will host St. Patrick's Day Fun from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at the library, 925 16th Ave.

The event is for children ages 3 and up, along with adults.

Kris Ault, youth services librarian, will host Leprechaun Stories at noon. "The Leprechaun Who Lost His Rainbow" will be read along with other stories, songs and rhymes that celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

The VolunTEEN Leprechauns will be on hand to assist young crafters as they create paddy potato puppets, leprechaun ladders, lucky rainbows, fairy wands, elf ears and magic bracelets.

Middle school and high school students who would like to help with crafts must have a VolunTEEN application on file.

Teens interested in becoming leprechauns for the day may contact Laurie Solawetz, teen librarian, at 608-328-7027.

The St. Patrick's Day Fun program is free and no registration is required. For more information, visit www.monroepubliclibrary.org or call 608-328-7010.
