MONROE - The Green County Land and Water Conservation Department is extending the spring trees ordering deadline until Friday, Feb. 14.
Trees available are: 3- to 4-foot Bur Oak, Red Oak, Swamp White Oak and Black Cherry; 2- to 3-foot White Oak, Sugar Maple, Sycamore, and White Pine; and 1- to 2-foot Shagbark Hickory.
Shrubs available are: 2- to 3-foot Hazel Nut and Elderberry.
The cost is $2 per tree with a minimum order of 10 of one species; they must be ordered in increments of 10 per species. Trees will arrive at the end of April.
