DARLINGTON - The Small Business Development Center of Southwest Wisconsin will offer First Steps to Starting a Small Business, a free workshop for individuals interested in starting their own business.
The workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the University of Wisconsin Extension office in the Lafayette County Courthouse, 627 Washington St.
At the workshop, participants will learn about business plans, why they are important, what is in them and how to write one. Participants will also learn why market research is important to their business success. Resources from local business development organizations will be provided.
