MONROE — A search warrant and raid resulted in multiple felony and other charges for four residents of a Monroe house.
According to a criminal complaint, the house in the 800 block of 9th Street was raided by the State Line Anti-Narcotics Team (SLANT) early on March 5. It is unclear from the documents how police were tipped off to the possible presence of narcotics at the house, leading to the warrant’s execution.
But in addition to the drug-related evidence, an infant child was present in the home with access to areas where marijuana was being grown resulting, investigators said, in child neglect charges against three of the defendants.
Police found eight plants located in a room in the home that had been a former baby nursery, records indicate. Investigators also said in the criminal complaint that they found additional quantities of marijuana, a dozen amphetamine/methamphetamine pills, and several items with apparent cocaine residue.
