MONROE - A Monroe teen was sentenced Wednesday in Green County Circuit Court to six months in jail and four years of probation for downloading digital images of children engaged in sexual acts.
Scott Thomas Creed, 17, was found guilty in September on two of seven counts of possessing child pornography, a class 1 felony.
Judge Thomas Vale set the terms of Creed's probation to include graduation of high school or the equivalent, participation in mental health treatment and no contact with children under the age of 18. Creed also can't use a cellphone or other handheld device with Internet capability and must not have any unsupervised contact with his father.
The charges stem from a state investigation that concluded in May.
Another teen, Braden Thomas Schettler, 18, New Glarus, was also charged on the same day with possessing child pornography. He's facing three counts. His case has a status conference scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 13.
