Gleason had asked OLeary for a donation through email and was surprised when OLeary sent four bottles of wine from his OLeary Fine Wines winery. You never know until you try, Gleason said. MONROE - A fundraiser for Family Promise of Green County will feature a touch of celebrity thanks to a donation from a star of the television show "Shark Tank."

Rick Gleason, network director for Family Promise, said a donation from businessman Kevin O'Leary, also known as "Mr. Wonderful" from the ABC reality show "Shark Tank," will be prizes for the organization's "10 Grand In Your Hand" event.

Gleason said Family Promise founder Bob Beck believed the connection to a popular show would be a big hit with attendees. He contacted O'Leary through email and requested a donation.

Not long afterward, Family Promise received four bottles of wine from O'Leary Fine Wines, a winery owned by O'Leary.

The bottles will be included in gift baskets to be auctioned at the event, Gleason said.

The "10 Grand In Your Hand" event will take place Thursday at the Monroe Den. All 250 tickets - at $100 each - have been sold.

Attendees can win prizes - including a $10,000 cash prize - as well as participate in live and silent auctions. Other auction prizes will include a football signed by the 2015 Green Bay Packers, tickets to a Packers vs. Raiders game on Aug. 18 and a couch donated by Monroe Furniture.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Family Promise of Green County.
