MONROE - A readers theater presentation of Janet Stevens' book, "Tops and Bottoms," is set to take place during the Seed It, Feed It, Eat It special Wild Wednesday gardening workshop on Wednesday, June 19.
Wild Wednesday programs are for children entering first through fifth grade.
Students can attend Wild Wednesday workshops at 1:30 p.m. or 3 p.m. at the Monroe Public Library, 925 16th Ave. Space is limited to 50 participants at each workshop and free tickets are available half in hour before each program in the lobby of the Monroe Public Library.
Tom Kessenich, a Monroe High School graduate, will share his love of reptiles and amphibians during his "Snakes Alive" program on Wednesday, June 26. Kessenich will present his program at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the Monroe Middle School, 1510 13th St. No tickets are required for the event. The event is open to children age three and older along with their adult caregivers.
Kessenich's collection of animals includes a Burmese python, a large iguana and the snakes of Wisconsin.
Wild Wednesdays are an opportunity for students to explore new interests and meet new friends during the summer. The series of programs are held as part of the Monroe Public Library's Summer youth program, Dig Into Reading.
