MONROE — Candidates for the School District of Monroe Board of Education took part in a two-hour public forum on March 3 at the Monroe Arts Center. The two-hour forum, which was hosted by Monroe Advocates for Public Schools (MAPS), a nonpartisan, volunteer organization, will be available for viewing on YouTube in the near future.

The candidates took turns answering questions from those in attendance involving budget cuts, student safety, diversity, equity and inclusion, and the future of education in the city.
