Sandlin crowned 2009 Albany dairy queen

ALBANY - Tamiya Sandlin was crowned as Albany Dairy Queen during the Jolly Mixers 4H ice cream social Saturday at the Albany Legion Building. Sandlin is the first community dairy queen crowned this year.

She is the daughter of Dulcie and Jeff Calkins and will be a senior at Albany High School.

First runner-up was Michelle Mauerman, who will be a senior at Albany High School. She is the daughter of Jim and Chris Mauerman.
