MONROE — Bill Ross of Monroe has published his 10th fictional book in the Monroe Mystery Series, “The Mysterious Death of Aunt Mimi”.

In the summer of 1976, a straightforward cash purchase of farmland by Doris Abley from Mimi Schultz turns tragic. The purpose of the sale is to expand a horse ranch operation, Sunrise Riding Stables, owned by Ms. Abley. The horrific sudden death of Mimi Schultz at the signing is totally unexpected, shocking, and negated the sale. Monroe Police Chief Brandon Johns and Detective Samantha Gates immediately launch an investigation. It is a baffling case compounded by multiple layers of family dysfunction, lies, and deception. Putting all the pieces together to find the killer has proved a difficult and frustrating challenge. Will they find that one elusive piece of the puzzle to solve the case?

The book is available for sale on Amazon and at the Monroe Area Chamber of Commerce. Ross is writing a series of mystery books lifting up our Swiss culture and life in Monroe and Green County for tourism. His hope is that these books reach a national audience that puts Monroe on the map as a tourism destination. All the proceeds from the Chamber book sales go to the Chamber of Commerce for tourism.
