MONROE - Badger Lapidary and Geological Society's 44th annual Rock, Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30 at the Monroe High School, 1600 26th St.
The show and parking is free, but donations will be accepted.
Ten dealers, guest speakers, club displays and demonstrations, club sales table, hourly door prizes and educational films will be at the event.
Activities for the kids include fishpond, spinner game, scavenger hunt, fossil casting and the wisest of roving rock wizards.
Guest speakers are:
n Bob Leis, of Washburn, will speak on Stromatolites at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Joshua Mathews, ofAugustana College, Ill., will speak on Antarctic Dinosaurs at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Michael Parsen and Jay Zambito, of the Wisconsin Geological Survey, will speak on Industrial Sand Mining in Wisconsin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Teri Marche, BLGS Show Chair, will speak on Fluorescent Adventure at New Jersey's Sterling Hill Mine at 3 p.m. Sunday.
