Reward offered on info about school threats, vandalism

MONROE - The Monroe Police Department is seeking information to find the person or persons responsible for threats and vandalism at Monroe schools.

Beginning on March 26, threatening messages, some threatening the use of explosives, have been found in restrooms at the Monroe High School and the Monroe Middle School. On April 17, several doors and windows were damaged at the high school by use of an air gun, sling shot or a blunt force object, causing several thousands dollars worth of damage.

Anyone with information may contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 422-7463. All callers can remain anonymous and are eligible for up to a $1,000 cash reward.
