Road work on 32nd Avenue, 31st Avenue and 8 1/2 Street has begun on Monroe’s far east side by Northside Elementary School and the new Monroe High School campus project. The project will span about a year and encompasses a redesign of the streets, including a roundabout at the 31st Avenue and 13th Street intersection. The entirety of the changes are estimated to be completed in late summer or fall 2026, while the new high school is expected to be completed and ready for the 2026-27 school year.
