BRODHEAD — Police arrested a local man and charged him with felonies, after a Sept. 2 raid on a residential property produced a host of illegal drugs.
The 6 a.m. raid of the house, according to a release from Brodhead Police, involved their officers and members of the multi-jurisdictional State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT) in the 100 block of 10th Street.
When the search ended, Ryerson R.R. Ast, 18, and charged with possession of THC with intent to deliver, possession of LSD with Intent to Deliver, possession of psilocybin mushrooms. Possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and bail jumping.
Electronics and a firearm also were seized, according to authorities.
The SLANT Task Force includes personnel from the Illinois State Police, Rockford, Ill; Police Department; Freeport, Ill Police Department; Loves Park, Ill. Police Department; Belvidere, Ill. Police Department, Boone County, Ill. Sheriff’s Office; Green County Sheriff’s Office; Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office; and the Monroe Police Department.
According to records, Ast has received a deferred prosecution agreement related to a 2024 felony possession of THC in Green County Circuit Court.
