MONROE - Quest Industrial was recognized in CIO Applications magazine's "Top 10 Robotics Technology Companies 2017" article, which lists the most prominent organizations in Robotics technology that provide direct support to companies.

It is estimated that rapid industry growth and employee retirement over the next decade will demand an additional 3.4 million workers, but the labor market will fall short by two million workers. Quest Industrial is filling the labor gap with advanced robotic automation and integrated vision systems.

Presently, 60-80 percent of the company's robotic solutions cater to the food industry; plastics and durable goods make up the rest. For the food industry, Quest provides robotics for the produce and deli industry and for picking and placing raw and packaged cheese. The company is the first in the industry to develop a robot for cheese-handling applications.

A key concern in the food processing industry is hygiene. Quest has developed tool sets that are food-safe, reliable and cleanable.

The End of Arm Tooling eliminates chances of holes or usage of tubes by replacing them with no external vacuum sources, generators or vacuum pumps. The company incorporates over 5000 in-house algorithms, with 90 percent of the systems being 2D, 3D vision and 3D scanner-driven.

Quest Industrial also is developing advanced robotics for agriculture, another industry that is experiencing labor shortages. Don Wickstrum is the founder and CEO of Quest Industrial.
