Quest is ‘business as usual’ under ProMach
QUEST industrial
Quest Industrial LLC

MONROE — The recent acquisition of Quest Industrial by an Ohio packing machinery company, ProMach, will not require much change and will not result in any lost jobs, said Tim Wilson, Quest vice president of communications.

“There are no planned reductions in staff,” Wilson wrote in an email. “We are currently hiring to add staff.”

The sale was announced in April, with ProMach touting its improved robotics integration capabilities as a result of the acquisition. In the announcement, the addition of Quest “expands ProMach’s capacity for sophisticated robotics projects, enhances ProMach’s robust robotics support competencies” and improves integrated solutions “for a wide range of applications.”

Quest Industrial was founded in 2001. It operates in the north industrial park of Monroe, serving to provide automation to businesses aiming for a better use of floor space and more flexible production lines. According to a release announcing the acquisition, “Quest has a strong expertise within the food industry, with leading solutions for dairy, produce and other markets installed across North America and beyond.”

The robotics company has also received a number of awards in its industry, from sales growth recognition to accolades for innovation.

In a statement, Quest founder and CEO Don Wickstrum said ProMach has a positive reputation for acquiring companies without significant disruption during the integration process. Wickstrum took the position of vice president of business development for robotics solution with ProMach after the merging of the two companies.

Wilson noted that Quest was officially purchased by ProMach on April 12.

“For the most part, it’s business as usual,” he wrote.
