Public meeting scheduled for Wis. 69 in Green Co.

MONTICELLO — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss resurfacing work on Wis. 69 from Bushnell Creek in Monroe to Cow Path Lane in New Glarus, Green County.

The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at Monticello High School Library, 334 S Main Street, Monticello. The objective of this meeting is to update the public regarding the proposed improvements and construction schedule. Construction is anticipated in spring 2026.

The purpose of this project is to address deteriorating pavement by resurfacing 12.5 miles of Wis. 69 between Bushnell Creek and Cow Path Lane and address safety issues at Wittenwyler Road, Cemetery Road and County C. Additional improvements include centerline and shoulder rumble strips, replacement of deteriorating culverts and structure improvements over the West Branch Little Sugar River.
