MONROE - Local nonprofit groups have partnered to bring Jeff Yalden, a noted national motivational speaker, to Monroe in February to speak to Green County teens, with an additional presentation for adults. Bullying prevention, depression and suicide prevention in teens, as well as supporting teens, will be the focus of Yalden's presentations.

Jacob's SWAG Foundation and Tyler's TEAM Foundation are sponsoring Yalden's visit.

Yalden is described as a high-energy and "tell-it-like-it-is" speaker who specializes in presentations for middle and high school students. He is the author of "Your Life Matters" and was featured on MTV's "MADE" as a celebrity life coach. He has spoken to school and community groups across the country, and has podcasts and a weekly radio show.

He will be speaking to middle and high school youth from eight area school districts in daytime presentations Feb. 25-27.

Parents and other adult community members may attend a free presentation by Yalden at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Monroe High School Performing Arts Center.

Yalden's presentations are being fully sponsored by local nonprofit foundations, through community support to Tyler's TEAM Foundation, Jacob's SWAG Foundation and Angels Among US of Green County.

There is no cost to attend, but seating is limited and pre-registration is required. Register online at surveymonkey.com/s/YaldenEvent, or by calling Sherry Boeke at 608-328-7184.
