MONROE - Residents of Monroe can now post their thoughts on the city on bulletin boards at City Hall, the Monroe Public Library, the Behring Senior Center and the Green County YMCA.
The Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission is working with Monroe to update its 2005 comprehensive plan, with an eye on 2025, and is seeking input.
Each board features questions on what values do you think Monroe has, what is currently the best thing about Monroe and what the city should look like in 2025.
Those participating need only to grab a Post-it off the board, provide an opinion, and then thumb-tack it to the board.
The commission will vote on which answers are most relevant and include them is a vision statement.
The process goes through April 1 and a "Visioning Event" sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Extension will take place between 5 and 7 p.m. April 9 at the Monroe Clinic.
