BRODHEAD - The Brodhead Police Department said Tuesday that a string of thefts from cars within the city on Saturday had no leads, but the department is investigating the occurrence.
From the first incident just after 9:30 a.m. to the final reported theft at 11:55 a.m., six vehicles were burglarized that morning. Locations of the cars broken into varied but remained within the city. The first occurred in the 700 block of 8th Street. Two separate incidents of theft from a vehicle were reported at 9:53 a.m. and 11:48 a.m. in the 600 block of East 5th Avenue. Police also responded to the 1300 block of West 2nd Avenue and at 11:20 a.m. to the 800 block of East 2nd Avenue.
The thefts remain under investigation. Police advised anyone with information to contact the department.
