Darlington Police
DARLINGTON — On June 12:
● Jose Torres-Martinez, 42, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 12:27 a.m. as a result of crashing into a curb while parking. He was also cited for driving without a valid license and possession of open intoxicants in a vehicle. He was released to a responsible party.
● Humberto Juarez-Herrera, 29, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 2:34 a.m. on East Lucy Street. He was also cited for driving without a valid license, inattentive driving and no vehicle insurance. He was released to a responsible party.
● Brock Blackford, 33, Darlington, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 1:13 a.m. June 13 on East Catherine Street. He was also charged with resisting arrest after he fled and fought with officers. He was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign. He was released to a responsible party.
● Alan Bennett, 52, Shullsburg, was referred for charges of driving after revocation at 3:30 a.m. June 14 on Wis. 23.
On June 18:
● Ameris Robinson, 18, Chicago, was cited for driving without a valid license, unreasonable and imprudent speed and possession of open intoxicants at 6:21 p.m. on Wis. 23.
● Tanner K. Kuhl, 19, Freeport, was cited for speeding at 8:28 p.m. on Wis. 81.
● Jedidiah J. Tiffany, 39, Ellesworth, Iowa, was cited for driving while suspended and speeding at 10:56 p.m. on Wis. 23.
On June 20:
● Tracy J. Steffes, 28, Mineral Point, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 1:50 a.m. on Wis. 23. She was also cited for speeding.
● Javier Morales-Lopez, 24, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license and no vehicle insurance at 6:28 p.m. on Wis. 23.
● Jose A. Gonzalez-Pena, 17, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 3:10 a.m. June 21 on Cornelia Street after he lost control of his vehicle and hit a concrete wall. He was also cited for driving without a valid license, no vehicle insurance, failure to keep vehicle under control and underage drinking. His vehicle sustained severe damage. He was released to his mother.
Monticello Police
MONTICELLO — On June 22:
● Police assisted New Glarus police with a curfew violation at 12:43 a.m. in New Glarus.
● Vehicles speeding was reported at 3:39 p.m. in the 400 block of East Coates Avenue. A speed board and camera were deployed. Police monitored area.
● A sick or injured raccoon was reported at 4:01 p.m. on East Coates Avenue and North Pratt Road. The raccoon was euthanized.
● Police were paged to assist New Glarus officers with a traffic stop at 8:08 p.m. in New Glarus. They were disregarded prior to arrival.
● A parking complaint was reported at 1 p.m. June 23 in the 300 block of East Coates Avenue. Vehicle left upon police arrival.
On June 24:
● A landlord/tenant dispute was reported at 2:28 p.m. in the 500 block of Sunset Avenue.
● Christopher A. Humphrey, Browntown, was cited for speeding and driving while suspended at 4:06 p.m.
● Cynthia M. Johnson, Lena, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 4:11 p.m.
● Donald D. Beckett, Monticello, was cited for driving with revoked license and seatbelt violation at 5:26 p.m.
● A missing potted plant was reported at 8:23 p.m. This remains under investigation.
On June 25:
● Police conducted traffic control for Monticello Fire First Response at 12:35 p.m. on East Coates Avenue and North Main Street.
● Police conducted traffic control for Monticello Fire First Response at 1:48 p.m. on West Coates Avenue and North Main Street.
On June 26:
● Pamela K. Alexander, Albany, was cited for speeding at 9:26 a.m. on East Coates Avenue and Jefferson Street.
● Police were contacted into reference to an ongoing investigation into several traffic complaints at 6:56 p.m.
On June 27:
● Adam A. Aurit, Milton, was cited for speeding at 5:40 p.m. on East Coates Avenue and Madison Street.
● A burning violation was reported at 6:50 p.m. in the 400 block of East Coates Avenue.
On June 28:
● Police assisted Johnson County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation at 10:44 a.m.
● David K. Williams, Fitchburg, was cited for illegal window tinting at 1:15 p.m. on West Coates Avenue and North Main Street.
● Police transported a found kitten to the Green County Humane Society at 2:19 p.m. after an attempt was made to locate the owner.
● A civil matter was reported at 7:52 p.m. Police advised caller to contact the property owner.
On June 29:
● An ordinance violation involving grass in excess of 8” was reported at 7:37 a.m. in the 500 block of Greenview Avenue. A corrective action letter was sent to homeowner.
● An animal complaint was reported at 4:06 p.m. in the 300 block of East Highland Avenue.
