The roof of the clock tower of the Historic Green County Courthouse came down June 6 as part of a continued restoration project. Crews carefully plucked the peak off the building, then set it down gently in the empty street below. The project is multifaceted and the timeline to complete the restoration is not set in stone. Crews hope to have the project complete by the end of 2022, but there is a chance it could continue into 2023.
