MONROE - A Monroe man accused of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman will enter a plea on charges in April.

Derek Larosh, 27, is charged with Class C felony counts of second-degree sexual assault of an unconscious victim and second-degree sexual assault with the use of force. He also faces four misdemeanor bail jumping counts.

Larosh is accused of sexually assaulting a 21-year-old Monroe woman while she was "blacked out" due to inebriation on July 27.

Larosh appeared in Green County Circuit Court Tuesday where a plea date was set for April 14.

According to the criminal complaint, Larosh met the woman for the first time at a Monroe bar and then left with the woman and her female companion so they could wait at Larosh's home for a ride. The companion could not arrange a ride, and asked Larosh if the woman could stay in Larosh's room while he slept on the couch. During the night, Larosh allegedly assaulted the woman, though she only had bouts of consciousness in which she remembered being assaulted. The woman picked Larosh's photo out of an array of mug shots and police arrested him.

Larosh maintained that all sexual contact was consensual and that the woman initiated contact.

Larosh's father posted bond for him in August. He remains free with conditions that he not leave the county or the state, not drink or do drugs, and have no contact with the woman.
