MONROE - Tonya Kelly has been shelter manager at the Green County Humane Society since August. Among her many daily jobs at the shelter, she is in charge of employees' schedules, animal health and maintaining the shelter.

The best part of her job is being with the animals.

"I get attached to all of them," she said.

Kelly and her husband, Jarrett, own three dogs, two ferrets and a macaw. They live in Monroe.

Besides her work as shelter manager, and her husband's volunteer work at the shelter, they're also animal obedience instructors.
