Laube enjoys meeting and greeting people who come to exercise at the Robert and Helen Stauffer Wellness Center at the Behring Senior Center.

A certified occupational therapist assistant, Laube has volunteered her time at the center since September 2007.

She has worked in the medical field with "patients, clients or customers," depending upon her job title.

But she just calls them all "people."

She has worked for Preferred Living and in Monroe Clinic's Hospital emergency ward as a ward clerk.

She and her husband Paul have been married 52 years.

They farmed near Juda, but moved to Monroe seven years ago.

They have five children and nine grandchildren.

What is your favorite food?>

Chicken and chocolate - but not together.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?>

All over the United States and Europe. I've never been to California, New England or most of the East Coast.

What is your favorite holiday and why?>

Christmas, because all the family gets together, and I get to see them ... and I like the cold weather.

What book have you read recently?>

"The Greatest Generation" by Tom Brokaw
