Johnson becomes director of the City of Monroe Housing Authority August 31, after 20 months as its assistant director.

Johnson's variety of duties include tending to residents needs, doing background checks on new applicants, applying for grants, writing reports, and taking care of payroll and the board agendas.

Last year the Churchill Woods Apartments received a high performance score of 100 percent for which Johnson received an award.

Johnson has been married 29 years to Kevin. They have a son, Justin, 25, and a daughter, Ashley, 19.

Johnson's latest excitement was two weeks ago when she met Jessica Simpson at the Old Navy store in Janesville. She and her daughter got a picture with her.

What do you do to relax?

Photography, and making scrapbooks for my kids and for other people.

If you could have dinner with three people, who would they be?

Julia Roberts (I have almost every movie she made), Jessica Simpson, and Sean Connery.

If you won $1 million, what would you do with it?

Build a haunted hotel.

What is your favorite chore?

Organizing; the ideal job would be to just get paid to organize.
