LENA - An Oktoberfest Dance will be held Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Lena Community Center, 497 Lions Drive.
The doors will be open at 6:30 p.m. with music and dancing from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
The price is $8 for advance tickets and $10 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at Country Windmill, 400 S. Schuyler St.; Engel's Jewelry and Gifts, 136 W. Main St.; Lena Mercantile, 101 W. Railroad St.; Citizens State Bank, 102 W. Main St.; Lena State Bank, 915 S. Logan St.; and Community Bank, 420 E. Lena St.
Music will be provided by the Greg Anderson Band. Willie Kayser and friends will perform a traditional German folk song titled "Ist Das Ist Nicht Schnitzelbank?"
Door prizes and a 50/50 drawing will also be held.
Brats, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, homemade desserts and a beverage will be offered for $6. A cash bar will be available.

The organization preserves the history of Lena and surrounding areas with exhibits in their many buildings at the museum, 427 Grove St. The current exhibit depicts the history of the Civil War.
