MONROE - The Monroe Arts Center is offering "A Taste of Spring - Night on the Mediterranean" from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 7 at the Ludlow Mansion, 1421 Mansion Drive.
The dinner will include six courses of classic Mediterranean cuisine paired with wines. The meal will be prepared by Claudia and Karessa Wilson, chefs and co-owners of Cafe Claudeen in Monroe, and will feature a savory Moroccan chicken with saffron rice pilaf and fresh asparagus. Wines have been selected by the sommelier Steve Borowski and will feature vintages originating from Italy, Spain, and California.
Live music throughout the evening will be provided by The Stellanovas.
Gift items selected for the silent auction will be on display and available for bidding throughout the evening. The live, fine arts auction will be conducted by auctioneer Doug Munda, Freeport and will feature two- and three-dimensional items including original watercolor, acrylic, and oil paintings, limited edition photographic prints and woodworking.
The cost is $75 or $400 for a table of eight.
