NEW GLARUS - The New Glarus Public Library has kicked off its summer reading program, "Leap Into Reading," with prizes offered for local families who participate. "Leap into Reading" encourages children to read during the summer while giving parents and grandparents a chance to win one of 20 Edvest college savings accounts valued at $1,000 each along with prizes from the Green Bay Packers. The program is being offered at more than 240 libraries throughout the state.

Children who participate in the program will have a chance to win 20 grand prizes of Edvest college savings accounts valued at $1,000 each (one winner in each library system and three at-large winners), four tickets to Packers Family Night, presented by Bellin Health at Lambeau Field (for each grand prize winner), and each winning library will also receive $500.

Children can be entered into the summer reading activities and events at their local library. Contest registration is available online at www.edvest.com/reading or at local libraries. The entry period runs June 6 through July 20. For more information and complete contest rules, visit www.edvest.com/reading. "Leap into Reading" is sponsored by the Edvest College Savings Plan, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the Green Bay Packers.
