MONROE - The congregation of St. John's United Church of Christ, Monroe, announced Rev. Todd Hackman as its new senior pastor. Hackman will begin his duties on Sunday, Dec. 1.
Hackman is a graduate of the University of Missouri and Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Mo. He was ordained in 1995 and has served United Church of Christ congregations in Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin. He is currently the associate pastor at Swiss United Church of Christ in New Glarus. Hackman and his wife, Heide, and their two sons, Matthew and Jacob, reside in Belleville, where the Rev. Heide Hackman is the pastor of First United Church of Christ.
Hackman succeeds Rev. Mike Heath, who retired in May. Rev. Tiff Bates, who has served as interim senior pastor since May, will continue until December.
