MONROE — The School District of Monroe is proud to announce a generous 10-year sponsorship agreement with The Bank of New Glarus, securing the naming rights for the Mouse House and Bank at the new Monroe High School. This partnership will provide critical support for creating a modern, student-centered school store and the convenience of an on-site banking service — enhancing both educational opportunities and real-world learning experiences for Monroe students.
The new Mouse House and Bank will serve as a dynamic learning hub, allowing students to engage in retail operations, financial literacy, customer service, and business management. By integrating a fully functional school store with a professional banking environment, the district will offer students hands-on experiences that prepare them for life beyond the classroom.
“The Bank of New Glarus has long been a champion of public education and community growth. Their support for the Mouse House and Bank will provide our students with meaningful, real-world learning opportunities in a setting that mirrors the professional world,” Superintendent Joe Monroe said, expressing his appreciation for the partnership, stating. “We are deeply grateful for their generosity and their commitment to empowering Monroe students with the skills and experiences that will prepare them for future success.”
Ron Schaaf, President of The Bank of New Glarus, highlighted the bank’s commitment to supporting local schools and communities.
“Our partnership with the School District of Monroe reflects our belief in investing in the future of our communities. By supporting the Mouse House and Bank, we’re helping create a space where students can learn real financial skills, gain confidence, and build a foundation for lifelong success,” Schaaf said. “We are proud to play a role in this important project and to continue our longstanding tradition of supporting education.”
This sponsorship stands as yet another example of The Bank of New Glarus’ dedication to education and the communities they serve, further strengthening the connection between local businesses and Monroe’s schools.
