PRIMROSE TOWNSHIP - A 47-year-old New Glarus man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday night, June 2, according to a news release from the Dane County Sheriff's Department.
He was identified Tuesday morning as Kent J. Dalsing.
The crash happened at about 9:20 p.m. at Wisconsin 92 and Community Road just north of New Glarus in Dane County.
Investigators believe Dalsing was southbound on Wis. 92 when he lost control turning onto Community Road. His 2004 Chevrolet Corvette left the road, hit a utility pole, overturned and came to rest in a field.
A MedFlight helicopter responded, but Dalsing was pronounced dead at the scene.
A forensic examination conducted late Monday, June 3, confirmed that Dalsing's death was the direct result of injuries he sustained in the crash, according to a release from the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.
Additional testing is underway, and the case remains under investigation.
