MONROE - The national TV show, "World's Greatest!...," which profiles companies around the country, will be highlighting the pastries and sweets created year-round in The Swiss Colony Bakery.

The TV show, now in its sixth season, has featured the work of companies big and small - from Anheuser Busch and 3M to transportation specialists, fruit tree growers, veterinary equipment manufacturers and more. Each show aims to entertain, educate and inform viewers about companies who are respected for their unique skills and vision.

The television show came to film the Swiss Colony bakery in action in mid-October. While there, they captured the detailed hand-decorating of holiday treats by bakery employees. They also interviewed President/CEO John Baumann, who spoke of the creativity of the master bakers and the artisan skill of the hand decorators. Michelle Frame, Bakery Innovation Director, pointed out that The Swiss Colony is the largest maker of layered cakes in the country, turning out 43 million petits fours and more than 1 million tortes every year.

Also featured on the show is the combination of new cutting-edge technology in the bakery with the now-rare tradition of hand decorating most every sweet and treat.

"World's Greatest!..." is a paid program, and will air throughout the country on Nov. 26, Dec. 3, and Dec. 10. Check your local listings for specific showings of "World's Greatest."
