Union Hill Cheese Factory, Juda, located in the southwest corner of Spring Grove Township, was primarily a Swiss cheese factory as indicated by the wooden press lids pictured outside of the factory. The photo, taken in September 1924, pictures cheesemaker Albert Jegerlehner, father of the late Mrs. Roger (Gertrude) Voelkli. Other cheesemakers through the years included Paul Weibel, John Brunner, Ernie Lehr and Ernest Truessel.
