Pictured on the left is Ernest Erb, cheesemaker at the Oakley Cheese Factory 1937-39, with an unidentified cheesemaker's helper. The Oakley Dairy Company was built in 1887 by John Kryder and John Zimmerman, first making Limburger and later Swiss cheese. The factory was located in Spring Grove Township at County OK and Oakley Road. Other cheesemakers at the Oakley Cheese Factory until it's closing in 1946 were Dave Hauser, Fred Bahler, Peter Schilt, Ralph Pengra and Victor Marean.
