Wisconsin cheesemakers, all who are licensed and some who have taken the next step in becoming a Master Cheesemaker, have for many years entered into competition of cheese contests and continue to do so. The competition begins at local levels with county and state fairs and extends beyond with the Wisconsin Swiss and Limburger Cheese Producers Association, U.S. Championship Cheese Contest, World Dairy Exposition and World Championship Cheese Contest, to name a few.
