Names of those injured in home blast released

MONROE - The names of the six people injured in a home explosion in Cadiz Township Sunday afternoon were released by the Green County Sheriff's Department Friday morning.

Injured in the blast were: Douglas Scace, 40; Carla Mannino, 40; Kimberly Evans, 15; Destiny Scace, 7; Lakota Scace, 5; and Apache Scace, 23 months. Douglas Scace was transported by MedFlight to University of Wisconsin Hospital following the blast. The others were treated and released at Monroe Clinic Hospital.

Additional details about their injuries are unavailable due to privacy laws, sheriff officials said.

The home, located at W8294 Wisconsin 11, in Cadiz Township, was severely damaged in the incident.

Initial reports indicated the explosion took place in the home's basement. The cause of the blast has not been determined and the incident remains under investigation. Evidence has been collected from the residence and submitted to the Wisconsin State Crime Lab for analysis, the sheriff's department reported.
