MONROE - A Monticello woman was charged with disorderly conduct after creating a disturbance in the emergency room of Monroe Clinic on Thursday.
Monroe police officers were called to the ER at 8:37 p.m. to assist the Monticello Police Department after Annabelle B. Canaday, 50, of Monticello became combative, according to Monroe Police Chief Fred Kelley.
Canaday was in custody and was at the ER to receive a medical clearance for incarceration at the jail.
Canaday was cited for creating a disturbance in the facility, resisting officers and battery to a Monticello officer who sustained minor injuries, Kelley said in a press release.
She was jailed pending a court appearance.
