Monticello mother dies in Verona crash
Fatal Car Crash

A Monticello mother of three is dead following a traffic accident in rural Verona on Monday, Jan. 26.

Authorities in Dane County said Elise M. (Feldhausen) Constantini, 48, was the driver of an SUV that hit a light pole neat the intersection of American Way and Batker Court, just off Wis. 69 near Costco just before 3 p.m. on Monday. She was the only person in the vehicle.

Constantini was a Green Bay native that moved with her three children to Monticello in 2015. She worked as the Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer at Bank of New Clarus, earned a certificate from the UW-Madison Graduate School of Banking. She had recently begun working as Principal Internal Credit Reviewer for Compeer Financial, according to her obituary. She also served in her community as Vice President of the Monticello School District Board, Secretary for the Monticello Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Foundation for Rural Housing.

“(She) served our school district with dedication,” Monticello Schools shared to followers on social media. “Elise’s commitment to our students and community made a lasting impact that we will carry forward. Above all, she was a devoted mother to Tyler, Kayln, and Trenton — her love for them evident in everything she did. We will miss her presence, her leadership, and the care she brought to every decision.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 5.

Constantini’s death remains under investigation by the Verona Police Department and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office, authorities said.
