MONROE - A Monroe teenager was transported by Med Flight to University of Wisconsin-Madison Hospital after a vehicle struck the moped he was driving Thursday morning.
Cole T. Lincicum, 15, Monroe, sustained serious injuries after he pulled out from a stop sign into the path of another vehicle at the intersection of 9th Avenue and 22nd Street.
He was reportedly in "fair" condition, according to a report from the UW Hospital at 4:20 p.m. Thursday.
The other vehicle was driven by Larissa M. Ethridge, 18, Monroe. Ethridge was uninjured.
Ethridge's vehicle sustained minor damage.
According to a police report, Lincicum was transported to the Monroe Clinic before being transported by Med Flight to UW Madison Hospital.
Lincicum's moped sustained extensive damage.
The collision remains under investigation.
