MONROE - At its meeting Monday, the Monroe school board: • Received an update on the PEP grant, which was awarded to the district in 2013 and is now entering its third and final year of providing funds for programs, projects, training and equipment related to physical education. Physical education teacher John Ditter presented on the grant's progress, including the remodeling projects for the Monroe Middle School fitness center and the MHS weight room. • Hired instructional staff members Jay Moelling, MHS technology education teacher, and Jolene DeNure, MHS special education teacher.
