MONROE - At a meeting Monday, the Monroe school board:
Recognized Jenny Moehn, Monroe High School special education teacher, for January's Lamp of Learning Staff Excellence Award.
Accepted donations of clothing from Jordan Lutheran Church and $2,200 from Monroe Optimists for the MHS Woods Department.
Heard feedback from fellow board members about the Wisconsin Association of School Boards Convention, held Jan. 21-23 in Milwaukee and attended by District Administrator Cory Hirsbrunner and some of the Monroe board members.
Decided to keep open enrollment spaces unlimited in any grade level for the 2015-16 school year.
Denied the requests for two students, one to enter the district and the other to leave the district.
