MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the Monroe school board:
Gave final approval for policy reviews/revisions/additions/deletions for the Youth Options program and Student Welfare Dual Enrollment. All of the changes in both policies were driven by law, according to District Administrator Cory Hirsbrunner.
Gave initial approval of other policy reviews and changes, including for Course Options and the Wisconsin Technical Excellence Higher Education Scholarship. Hirsbrunner said any student from kindergarten to 12th grade can take a program at another educational institution at the district's expense under Course Options.
Denied a student's request to attend the Monroe school district and approved another student's request to leave the district.
Amy Bazley and Scott Schmidt were absent.
