MONROE - At a meeting Aug. 10, the Monroe school board: • Received information on the Smiles 4 Life nonprofit organization, which has worked with the Monroe school district for the last two years. The program provides oral health care, including screenings, teeth cleanings and fluoride varnish applications, for students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. According to the organization, 257 students in the Monroe school district have been enrolled in Smiles 4 Life.
