MONROE - During a meeting Wednesday, the City of Monroe Public Property Committee:

• Authorized the Water Department to sell SCADA equipment no longer used.

• Approved vacating a right-of-way and deeding property to Monroe Truck Equipment. Deed restrictions and disclaimers in the motion included payment of $1, plus surveying and other costs and fees for transfer; no resale for profit; and a return of the property if development is not followed through. Committee member Neal Hunter abstained from the discussion and vote, because of a conflict of interest. Alternate Paul Hannes filled his place.
