MONROE - On Wednesday, April 9, the Monroe Plan Commission:
Postponed a discussion on zoning change from M3 to General Business District in North Business & Industrial Park and a certified survey map (CSM) for Joel Potts, pending a purchase agreement.
Approved a CSM for John and Howard Waelti in the extraterritorial area. John Waelti intends to buy out Howard Waelti's portion of their partnership in the 2.42 acres.
Approved a CSM of a city lot at the corner of Fourth Avenue West and 17th Street next to Badger State Ethanol Plant, at the request of the Badger State Ethanol. Commission member Nate Klassy, who is a member of Badger State Ethanol Board of Directors, recused himself from the vote.
Approved a CSM for the 2-acre lot for the proposed fire station on West 17th Street.
Approved a CSM for a lot facing 29th Avenue in the North Business & Industrial Park for Troy Ludwig.
Approved a site plan and building plans for Ludwig in North Business & Industrial Park. Plans include rental storage units.
Heard from City Administrator Mark Vahlsing on the Extraterritorial Zoning Committee planning process. Vahlsing said he expected the ETZ committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to be the final one, without the ETZ plan being approved.
