Monroe man arrested following drug search warrant

MONROE — On Wednesday, Nov. 26, Monroe Police and agents of the State Line Area Narcotics Task Force (SLANT), executed a drug search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of 11th Street, in Monroe’s Central Downtown District.

During the execution of the warrant, which occurred at 5:20 a.m., a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and suspected Delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol marijuana was seized.

Officers also arrested Timothy D. Kennedy, 43, of Monroe, on initial charges of delivery of, and possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and with maintaining a drug dwelling. Kennedy was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

The State Line Area Narcotics Task Force consists of law enforcement officials from the Illinois State Police, Rockford, IL Police, Freeport, IL Police, Loves Park, IL Police, Belvidere, IL Police, Boone County, IL Sheriff, Green County, WI Sheriff and Monroe, WI Police.
