MONROE — A Monroe man with four convictions of drunken driving was arrested again for the same offense early Friday morning, Feb. 22, according to the Monroe Police Department.

Jeremy A. Rutledge, 39, faces a felony fifth-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. He was also cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

Rutledge was arrested after officers responded to a report at 12:11 a.m. of a vehicle in the ditch and stuck in the snow in the 200 block of 11th Street. He had lost control as he turned east onto 11th Street from 17th Street, an investigation found. He was jailed.

State court records show Rutledge had his second-offense OWI in September 2006 and his fourth-offense OWI in October 2014, both in Green County. He was sentenced to six months in jail for the most recent conviction.
